ive got agua-glo lights on my 125 gallon tank. The aqua-glo lights are 30 watts each. I have 3 amazon swords that have been in my tank for three months. They havent gotten any taller since then, just a couple sprouts but thats it. Same with all my other plants. they haven't grown any taller or grown any new sprouts.

I use 2 co2 bubbler systems that i use once a day. I also use flora-pride once a month.

I really want to get my plants greener and taller. Im thinking maybe i need new lights but i dont want to spend a fortune on lights. please help me out.

sorry to tell you but your going to need to get brighter lights for that tank, you have less than 1watt per gallon and you want around 2-3 watts per gallon with less light you dont need the c02 as it only makes an improvment under higher lighting,
you said that you use 2 c02 systems once a day, do you mean you only turn it on once a day,,, for how long?, this will cause a large ph drop when you turn it on, you want to have your co2 dosing slowly all day long at an even level keeping your ph at the desired level.
in order to get good growth you should also dose ferts about once a week minimum, especially if you get high light and c02, if not all your going to get is algea because they can grow with less nutrients than plants.
forget the co2, untill you get bright lights at least 2watt per gallon, dose ferts more often, and get more lights then you can have nice green plants,,
as a cheaper alternitive get a 10g tank and plant it then you only need 1 of your lights and you dose tiny amounts of ferts

Hmm interesting. I thank you very very much for your reply. I will look into investing in a new light along with a GOOD co2 system. THanks again.

BTW welcome to the board.
