Im looking into starting a colony of apisto. Not sure which but would like to start with a colony of A. Cacatuoides. List your colony and your favorites and reason why.

Ive never owned any apistogrammas

but I would love to own a tank full of some cacatucoides and agassiziis. They would definatly make an intresting and colorful tank

they look so colorful in pictures and i know there are lots of different ones but when i finally saw some at my lfs they were so bland. I got turned off

Maybe it was just the ones your LPS got in? All the ones I've seen in person have been quite nice.
