what are all the types of piranhas out there ? well that we know about. when i get back and get a my full time job. i am planning in the next year. i would like to buy one of every type. just like to know what i am looking at.

Some are still in dispute and others are very hard to find and are often bought by hobbyists by pure accident like me and my Serrasalmus Altuvei.

I dont think it is possible to obtain a lot of the serrasalmus genus.

Especially when a few do not have a holotype just a description and a valid name. Plus wholesale dealers add to the confusion with a million common names for one fish species.

Frank is it possible to get information on the ones that DO NOT have the holotype? I know I know, its in OPEFE....lets start reading!
