Doesn anyong elses pleco crawl up the pour out spout of their HOB ac500? I thought he jumped, but opened the filter top and saw him squirming around...

No but I've heard of this happening with tyretrack eels turning up in people's filters "just hanging out" all the time

How does it get in there?....Doesn't your instake tube have a strainer on it?

it doesnt get in through the intake tube, it gets in through the OUT end (waterfall part) he somehow climbs up to the lip of that and gets in the filter area.

Wow...Although a little strange, I can't imagine it being dangerous for your pleco.
I guess the only way to keep him out would be to lower your water level.

Does it ever come back out once in the filter?...If so, I would leave things be.

nah he cant come back out haha, ill just keep the water level an inch lower.

On a positive note, your pleco seems to more intellegent then most.
Something to be proud of. Or maybe not..lol
