Flashing brights at on coming traffic when the police are around....Every time I see one of those SOB's thats my cue to alert other drivers.... however I've gotten everything from the county two finger wave to the middle finger.

I'll flash people when I see a cop. A majority of the time I get a friendly wave. In my area, a lot of people still do this.

my daily driver is a silverado 2500 Duramax so I'm not out running anyone.

in my area they dont flash lights when the cops are around, they hide their crack pipes, try to eat their dope, put their last rock in their shoe, and try to not get pulled over.

If I see a cop with a radar/laser out, I do. If Ijust see him cruzin not really.

On my way to michigan last week on I94 a guy was flashing on coming like crazy, he was warning us of a 4x4 (timber) placed perfectly a crossed the left lane, luckily I was in the midleft lane and the Honda civic next to me smashed it. felt kinda bad for the guy. 2 front flats in mid 20 degree weather.

i do it all the time. it's not illegal in my state. there was a fear campaign about how it was illegal to flash your headlights to warn of a speedtrap, and how the cops would pull you over and ticket you...but it's false. it is illegal in some states though, but not specifically. more just flashing your beams in general, within x amt of feet of other traffic. i'll do that sh*t till i die.

Around here there are so many deer wandering all over the place if somebody flashes their lights it usually means deer have been spotted by the road.

^^+1. In my area it's a general warning to slow down. Might mean a cop, might mean deer, but if you see someone do it it's usually a wise Idea to slow down and pay extra attention.

I live to close to Detroit to flash sh*t, around here some dumb mother f will shot your ass for some dumb sh*t like that and there cops everywhere in SE Michigan. When I was in the Army down in Texas everyone flashed to let you know.
