i am putting together a 75 gal tank, and i want to have 5-6 inch caribas. How many can i have in that size tank??

Up to 5 Caribas in there for life...or you can put 7 and upgrade your tank when they get 7"!

I'd say five for now. See how they get along. If they don't have enough space once they get bigger, sell one off or upgrade.

hey guys, thanks alot for all your input. i assume 6 would be pushing it then? i only ask beacause shark aquarium has a discounted price when you buy in 3's. But i'd rather have a healthy fishtank, then save some cash

I would go for 5-6 C's, but I would buy smaller ones, around 3-4 (or smaller, if possible!)inch.

It's fantastic, to watch em grow up, and become more and more individual...

I kept 5 in a 75G for their life and didn't have a problem.

I think 4 might be better but I wasn't about to get rid of any after they started growing up, and 6 or more is too many.

So I say 5.

I would say 4 maybe 5 for life, more if you want to upgrade later.

Of course you can get more, but if you want the fish to be happy and comfortable for the rest of their live in that tank, I'd get no more than 4. Cariba are usually highly territorial, so they will need more space in comparison with redbellies...
