I am picking up a piraya and another yellow natt(tern) for my tank this weekend.
That will make my 125 gallon tank consist of: two 4.5-6" wild reds, four 5-7" cariba, two 6-8"yellow natts(terns), and one 6" piraya. 9 pygos seems like a lot to me so I am going to try it for a while and see, if it is too over stocked, I am going to sell a couple cariba.
I just closed the deal and I am pumped!!!!!

Just thought I would share!

Did you order from George? Got a 6" yellow natt from him a couple weeks ago and want to get a piraya in that size also. Right now I'm at 1 8+ inch cariba, a 5" cariba, 3 tank bred natts from 6-7" and the 6" yellow natt in a 125. I don't think I'll add any more than the piraya for a total of 7 fish, but I would love to get down to Milwaukee sometime and see yours. I would esp. like to see the piraya and your wild natts. Anyway, congrats.

No, I am picking them up from a guy in Chicago, private sell, but I think he got them from SA.....but not positive. I think 7 is a good number also, and that is what I have now. My plan is to remove the large piece of driftwood to give them a little more room and see how it looks. I personally dont like the look of an tank that is too overstocked so I will probably be selling 2 cariba or 1 cariba and one red, not sure of the combination yet.

Thanks guys, I will have pictures up as soon as I add them and they get settled down.

Hey gross what piranhas you like better caribas or reds. I like caribas better. They are more aggressive towards other fish and people(if you put your hands in and a red will just run and hide)
I like them both, but I do think cariba are prettier. I subscribe to the theory that aggression is an individual trait. I have had some very aggressive reds, and my cariba were very passive until I added the wild reds. My favorite fish in my tank the smallest red, he takes no crap from anyone and is the first to greet me when I stick my face to the tank.
