is a 125g tank good enough for 5 reds for life.If so what do you suggest I do for decorating.

I have 6 in mine.. I hope that is good for life??? But I would think if they reach their full potiential (12 inches) that I will remove 2-3 of them...

At this point I would say it is enought for at least 5 years or more!

i'm getting into sand and it's easy and cheap. do sand and a big piece of wood and a couple tall green plants. it'll look awesome. and your p's will love you with all the space you're giving them.

as for decor you could do what every you

really wanted to do, natural to bare to what ever man sh*t, get creative with it

and take a ceramics class and make yourself a giant 351 block your guys can swim

in and out of the cylindars

I bought a 125 for my 5 reds too, then I bought a Tern, and a Cariba...

For filtration I'm running 2 AC500's at the moment, but am installing a sump soon.

sounds good i will have 4 in my 125. i personally like to understock my tanks gives them a better chance to grow larger. as far as deco i would go with black sand and a nice piece of drift wood.
