I live relatively close... not only is the place gorgeous, but KNOWLEDGEABLE staff work there. yes, you're always going to get one or two idiots who do not know what they're talking about... but for the most part i've been very satisfied with information they've given (and trust me, i've GRILLED them on betta upkeep)

i will also vouch for this store and its knowledgable employees. the fish tank setup they have is huge, and all of their tanks are very clean. every tank has a sticker on it with the common name, scientific name, and a little info about the species. in addition to the fish stock, their prices on fish supplies are the best around. def the best store around.

I always go here about every two weeks even though I'm about 1 hour away. Sometimes I go just to look at the stock, to see what they have that I may eventually want. They always have the common tetras/discus/oscars/etc in stock but also sometimes get stingrays, lungfish, etc. Pretty good quality stock although they use a central filtration system so if one tank gets ick it spreads, and so sometimes you have to look at the fish to make sure they look ok. But I buy all my supplys there because of the rock bottom prices, and they still have the best selection/cleanest tanks I've seen of an LFS, and Ive been to alot.

This place is great. Has lowest prices if seen in a store. I go up every couple of months to get frozen food becuase its half of what lfs charges.

I was just their, they had about a 6-7'' Gold Piranha, some small red bellies, and a nice stock of oddball saltwater fish I don't often see at LFS, couple anglers, a clingfish, a crocodile fish some big angels and tangs was a great trip for me. I love this place get most if not all my supplies their, bout a 30 minute drive for me.

old thread, but could use an update. that fish place is a nice store, but they do charge top dollar for their aquatic stock. If your a member of their pet rewards program you can get some good deals tho 30% off 1 fish. I live in Lancaster, PA and I go there quite often. It is the only place around that has specialty products. As for their staff, its kinda 50/50. The people who work at the Info desk are ironically probably some of the least informed people in the store, if you want real advice look for a supervisor in the fish room, they generally know whats up. And as for piranha, they almost always have something... right now they have a red sanchezi and an elong. elong is 160 bucks and about 6 inches, been there for a long long time..... they carry reds sometimes but usually babies, usually have a rhom in stock, ive seen macs, eigenmanni, rrs personally within the past year.
