That would be a very short term tank for 3 reds, 3 caribe and 3 piraya... Very short term.
This is if they are small... In the are 5"+ your tanks is indeed way overstocked.

IMO, no. Your dealing with a depth of 13", plus say 1.5-2" of substrate... So were talking 11" of depth and a fish that will grow to 10"+. I think length is more important, but I also thing that height of the tank is also important.

well u could go 4 or 5 rbp in there IMO my reds have about 20 in of depth but they hardly ever use the top half
and a full grown 12-14 incher would only be like 8 inches tall at most
leaving 5 inches at the top they wouldnt be the happiest fish but by the time they get to that point you could upgrade
id say you could get a year and a half outta the 100 gallon
till ya had to upgrade
at about 1 1/2 years they would be like 8-9 inch fish with a height of about 3-4 inches tall give or take
i would do it with like 5 reds till its too small
then get a 150 or bigger

oh and exodus love the 32 inch irratans pic ya got nice looking fish
what happened to the pic of fluffy eating that other dudes fish
