I got to see some fairy shrimp first hand in Mississippi. They are incredible creatures! Great article!

Fascinating!! It is always nice to see a new taxon discovered....especially if it is a large species (and 3 inches is huge for a fairy shrimp!). Thanks for posting this article.

Pretty interesting little shrimp! I found the way they keep their prey with them fascinating.

no kiddin me too and the fact that the science lady says that there so differnet for all other but it

took that long to name it as a new species, i must have missed something :lmao:

Nope, they missed something! It's easy to assume a species has been described. Biologists dont usually know everything about all of the species in their study areas, usually just the taxa they study (fish, herps, birds, plants, etc....)
